RTÉ Home of the Year is back!

RTÉ Home of the Year is back on our screens at 8:30pm tonight! Over eight weeks, twenty-one homes will compete for the Home of the Year title, with three very different and unique properties featured each week.  Last year's series was a great opportunity to see inside some truly beautiful homes all around the country.

Designer Hugh Wallace and architect Declan O'Donnell return as judges and they are joined this year by award-winning interior designer, Deirdre Whelan.

Last year, we were treated to a fascinating range of homes from traditional thatched cottages to passive new-builds, from cob houses to city mews. This year promises to be just as exciting, with converted workshops and barns, Dublin terraces and countryside retreats.

In the first episode of the new series, the judges visit three very different homes: a transformed Victorian end of terrace in Dublin, a converted barn in County Wexford, and a unique and radically renovated terraced house in North Dublin.

If last year's series is anything to go by, each home featured is sure to demonstrate exceptional creativity and a flair for design, and I can't wait to see them all!
